Portainer MCP is a work in progress project implementing the Model Context Protocol (MCP) for Portainer. It standardizes how AI assistants and tools access and manage container environments. By exposing portainer data and operations through MCP, it enables AI-driven management of resources such as environments, stacks, users, and access groups. Supports Docker and Kubernetes interactions, providing read and write capabilities with security considerations. It aims to facilitate automation, integration, and streamlined operations in containerized infrastructure management, compatible with specific Portainer versions and offering capabilities like environment listing, stacking, access control, and proxy requests.
