A visita de estudo da turma do 4.º ano da Escola Básica Fernando José dos Santos à zona da Moita está pensada para proporcionar uma experiência educativa, cultural e ambientalmente enriquecedora, promovendo o contacto direto dos alunos com diferentes realidades do património natural e humano da região. O dia começa cedo, com a chegada dos alunos à escola pelas 8h00, onde são recebidos pelos professores responsáveis. Antes da partida, são relembradas as regras de segurança, distribuídos os grupos e verificados os materiais necessários para o dia, como blocos de notas, lanche, água, chapéu, protetor solar e, se possível, máquinas fotográficas descartáveis para registos visuais. Por volta das 8h30, os alunos entram no autocarro e iniciam a viagem em direção à Moita. Durante o percurso, que dura aproximadamente uma hora, os professores aproveitam para contextualizar a visita, lançando questões sobre o que esperam encontrar, promovendo jogos de observação da paisagem e incentivando a curiosidade sobre o destino.
Às 9h30, o grupo chega à Praia Fluvial do Rosário, um local emblemático junto ao estuário do Tejo, onde se inicia a exploração do meio natural. Aqui, os alunos são convidados a observar a paisagem envolvente, identificar aves aquáticas com recurso a binóculos e registar no bloco de notas as espécies que conseguem reconhecer, bem como desenhar plantas ou animais que lhes chamem a atenção. Esta atividade inicial visa sensibilizar para a importância da biodiversidade local e para o papel fundamental dos ecossistemas ribeirinhos. Após esta primeira abordagem, realiza-se uma caminhada até às Salinas do Gaio, durante a qual os alunos, orientados pelos professores, vão observando a vegetação típica, as marés e eventuais vestígios das antigas atividades económicas ligadas ao rio. Pelo caminho, podem ser lançados desafios, como uma pequena caça ao tesouro ou a identificação de elementos específicos da paisagem, promovendo a atenção ao detalhe e o espírito de equipa.
The study visit of the 4th grade class of the Fernando José dos Santos Basic School to the Moita area is designed to provide an educational, cultural, and environmentally enriching experience, promoting direct contact of students with different realities of the natural and human heritage of the region. The day starts early, with the arrival of students at school at 8:00 am, where they are received by the responsible teachers. Before departure, safety rules are reminded, groups are distributed, and necessary materials for the day are checked, such as notebooks, snacks, water, hats, sunscreen, and, if possible, disposable cameras for visual records. Around 8:30 am, the students board the bus and start the journey towards Moita. During the approximately one-hour trip, teachers take the opportunity to contextualize the visit, asking questions about what they expect to find, promoting landscape observation games, and encouraging curiosity about the destination.
At 9:30 am, the group arrives at the Rosário Riverside Beach, an emblematic location next to the Tagus estuary, where exploration of the natural environment begins. Here, students are invited to observe the surrounding landscape, identify aquatic birds using binoculars and record in their notebooks the species they recognize, as well as draw plants or animals that catch their attention. This initial activity aims to raise awareness of the importance of local biodiversity and the fundamental role of riparian ecosystems. After this first approach, a walk to the Gaio Salt Flats takes place, during which students, guided by teachers, observe typical vegetation, tides, and possible traces of former economic activities linked to the river. Along the way, challenges such as a small treasure hunt or identification of specific landscape elements can be proposed, promoting attention to detail and team spirit.
